January 1 - 18
Is your New Year's Resolution to learn something new? How about a pottery class, or painting? Registration for Continuing Education classes at the Cleveland Institute of Art is open through January 18. Find your new passion for 2019 by choosing from a wide ranging course list for adults and children.
A long time favorite for family fun, Disney on Ice is coming to Cleveland this January with their Mickey’s Search Party performance. The show opens on January 11 and runs through January 20. If you’ve got little ones who’d love to see their favorite Disney characters don’t wait too long to grab tickets!
January 15 - 20
You probably have seen The Sound of Music, and maybe South Pacific. Now you can add the Tony-award winning musical Cinderella to your list. From the ever popular team, Rogers and Hammerstein, Cinderella opens on Tuesday, January 15 and runs through the 20th. You can start 2019 with a lovely evening out with friends or a new experience for the little ones in your family.
Severance Hall is a beloved landmark of Cleveland and home of the world renowned Cleveland Orchestra since 1931. Regarded as one of the most beautiful concert buildings, you can see its splendor yourself on a free hour-long tour. Offered one day a month, there are 3 time slots available on January 22. Get a ticket ahead of time to reserve your spot.
There are always cool and interesting things to see at the Cleveland Botanical Garden, but every year Orchid Mania is one of the most looked forward to. See the astonishing beauty and vast variety of these exotic flowers starting January 26. There are also some interesting special events surrounding the exhibit.
