November Events in Northeast Ohio

Don’t let the cold weather make you hibernate indoors all winter. There’s plenty of fun events coming up this month in Northeast Ohio. This week on the blog, we’ve put together a list of some of the local happenings that looked most fun. And if you’re a family with younger children, there are some events we put in with just you in mind.


November 16, Friday 6:30-8:00pm

Campfire Stories Hike & Fire

Visit the Summit Metroparks for their fall evening event. Listen to a few campfire stories at the Ledges about Ohio nature and take a short hike. Afterwards we'll roast marshmallows (while supplies last). 


November 17, Saturday 7:00-8:00pm

Elf The Musical JR.

A musical version of the favorite Christmas comedy movie, Elf. Get your little ones out of the house and laughing for an evening of family fun by the Brecksville Theater.


November 17, Saturday 5:00-7:30pm

Tree Lighting at Crocker Park

One of the first tree lighting ceremonies on our list, the Crocker Park Shopping Center will be lighting their tree in less than a week. Take the kids and check out the activities from the Great Lakes Science Center to musical numbers.


November 18, Sunday 11am-3pm

Play at CMA

Stop by the Cleveland Museum of Art for hands-on fun for all ages led by members of our Teen CO-OP, as well as weaving demonstrations by Praxis Fiber Workshop artist Laura Yurko and a special pop-out Open Studio. Free; no registration required.


November 21, Wednesday 6:00-6:15 pm

City of Bedford Tree Lighting Ceremony

The Bedford Firefighters Local 1683 will again be providing refreshments and Santa Claus will be stopping down to join us as we celebrate the beginning of the holiday season.


November 23, Friday 12:00pm

The Rink at Wade Oval

The official opening of the Rink at Wade Oval is just around the corner. This outdoor ice skating rink is open through the whole winter so you can make the most of this fun Cleveland activity. The Rink also offers free Learn-to-Skate Lessons each Saturday from Noon-1:00 p.m.


November 24, Saturday 9am-11pm


One of the biggest holiday events of the season, Winterfest is downtown Cleveland is packed full of activity all day long. There is skating, live music, warm food, handmade artists, carriage rides and SO much more. Don’t miss it!
